WLSC Tiger Radio Launches Classic Country Format on Labor Day

Loris, SC - The music of Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, Willie Nelson and Patsy Cline returns to the airwaves on Monday, September 7th.  WLSC Tiger Radio will start broadcasting classic country music at High Noon.

Listeners can hear WLSC Tiger Radio by tuning to 1240 AM or online at TigerRadio.com.

"It's been a while since you could turn on your radio and hear real country music.", says WLSC General Manager, Banana Jack Murphy.  "Seriously, when was the last time you heard Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn or George Jones and Tammy Wynette?  How about Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Marty Robbins? That's the good stuff."

WLSC Tiger Radio promises to play the biggest country hits from the '50s to the '90s.  "We'll also go back to the days of Hank WIlliams and Ernest Tubb, too.", states Murphy. He adds, " You also hear Alabama, George Strait, Clint Black and of course, Kenny and Dolly."

In addition to well known hits from classic country artists, WLSC Tiger Radio will feature a Hymn of the Hour.  Once every hour, the station will broadcast a gospel song recorded by classic country artists, gospel quartets and occassionally a local or regional act will be featured.

WLSC Tiger Radio broadcasts a 1 kw signal at 1240 AM from downtown Loris, South Carolina.  The station's studio is located in the Loris Chamber of Commerce.  Fans of the station can listen to and watch the broadcast streams of WLSC Tiger Radio at TigerRadio.com.

WLSC has also partnered with AudioNow making it possible to hear Tiger Radio by dialing 213.493.0145 or 843.733.3153.  WLSC has recently finished developing a smartphone app which will soon be available at iTunes and GooglePlay.
